Shake Ideas

 

  • Handful  of spinach or mixed leafy greens of choice

  • Handful of parsley

  • 1 cup of blueberries or fruit of choice

  • ½ avocado

  • 1-2 tablespoons of chia seed, flax seed, or hemp seeds

  • 1-2 tablespoons honey

  • 1-2 teaspoons of cinnamon

  • 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract

  • 1-2 scoops of Mercola Pure Power Protein (flavor of your choice)

  • 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk, hemp milk, coconut milk or coconut water

  • 1 cup of water or as much water of desired thickness

 

  • Makes 1 big serving or 2 small servings

I also enjoy pre-grinding a tablespoon of fenugreek and adding it to my shakes as well. It has a bit of a maple flavour to it. All the above ingredients are optional and feel free to add other things like cucumber, celery, cayenne pepper, turmeric, ginger, fresh squeezed lemon or lime juice.

Directions:

I use a Nutri-bullet and it works fantastic for making these shakes. Most Blenders will work fine but might not blend the greens and seeds as fine

  • Simply place the greens and parsley at the bottom of the blender cup.

  •  Add the fruit and avocado next.

  •  Add the honey, cinnamon, vanilla and seeds of choice.

  •  Scoop in the Pure Power Protein

  • Pour in the Unsweetened almond, coconut, or hemp milk

  • Top with as much water as you like.

  • Then screw down the blades and blend till all ingredients are well mixed. You can always add more liquid to thin out the shake for desired consistency after it has been blended.

Play around with the different combinations of food listed and find a few that you really enjoy.
